Beach & Leisure
There is so much to see around the Waterfield Place. Easy access to watersports, landmarks, shopping, and even theme parks makes the Waterfield Place your headquarters for year-round activity.
Visiting the Beach
North Outer Banks has numerous beaches, all with public access but each with its own distinctive feel. Catch a lunch at Kill Devil Hills, then catch tomorrow's lunchat the fishing pier. Head to Corolla or Hatteras for wide sandy beaches perfect for kites and picnics. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, head off-road at Carova and try to spot the wild horses.
We are locals, born and raised in the area, and we keep printed guides at the Waterfield Place about the best beaches and public parking in the area.
Visiting the Sound
Although there’s so much focus on the beach with the Outer Banks, it would be a mistake to overlook the sound and mainland. The Currituck and Albemarle Sound is a haven for wildlife, and the Waterfield Place taps into the culture and rich local history surrounding duck hunting and wildlife preservation.
Historic Manteo and the Lost Colony production are a treat for history buffs and laypeople alike, and are both easily accessible from the Waterfield Place.
